I started at North Georgia Technical College while still
in high school, taking courses in Machine Tool Technology.
A short time later, my instructors helped me get a part-time
job at a great machine shop. Later on, I won first place in
the 2006 State VICA Competition and went on to compete nationally
due to the education I had already received. Though it has
been a challenge, it has been very exciting and rewarding.
All my classes have honed my skills and I have already had
job opportunities offered to me upon graduation. I would highly
recommend this program to any high school senior.

After graduating from high school, I went to Abraham
Baldwin for one year. I soon realized that I was not learning
any technical skills that would help me to get a job. With
that thought in mind, I decided to enroll in the Machine Tool
Technology program at North Georgia Technical College. I finished
the diploma program and moved into the Tool and Die and the
CNC Certificate classes. I now have the hands-on experience
and knowledge to get a good job in a field I enjoy.
