The Industrial Systems Technology program is designed for the students to prepare for a career in industrial systems technology. The associate degree program builds upon the diploma program in Industrial Systems Technology, providing background skills in several areas of industrial maintenance and control systems. The program provides learning opportunities that introduce, develop, and reinforce academic and technical knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for job acquisition, retention, and advancement. Additionally, the program provides opportunities to retrain or upgrade present knowledge and skill. Graduates of the program receive an Industrial Systems Technology Associate of Applied Science degree that qualifies them for employment as industrial electricians or industrial systems technicians with opportunities to move into management.

Program Points of Interest:

The Industrial Systems Technology department is formed around electrical and mechanical classes that deal with equipment and machinery installation, maintenance, and repair. You will receive hands-on training using electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, instrumentation, power and hand tools. Also, you will learn how to read, interpret and draw blueprints and electrical schematics. Projects include assembling components to create “live electric, hydraulic and pneumatic systems which you will use for practice in troubleshooting. Courses you may take include such topics as:
