Certified Quality Auditor Exam Prep: Topics include reviews of the standards and principles of auditing and the auditing techniques of examining, questioning, evaluating and reporting in preparation for taking the ASQ Certified Quality Auditor Exam. $299 plus book; 18 hours.

Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerances topics include terms and symbols, parts of feature control frame, ASME standards, condition modifiers and practical application of symbols, characteristics and tolerances. $299; 12 hours.

Leadership: The Motivated Workplace
Good leaders are aware of why employees are motivated to work. This course explores factors that affect performance and how to determine motivation factors for your organization. $99; 4 hours.

Quality controls depend on precision measurements and this course will introduce students to the proper use and maintenance of instruments such as micrometers and dial indicators as well as how to appropriately document findings and indications. $99; 4 hours.

APPLIED MANUFACTURING TECHNOLOGY
ASSOCIATE DEGREE PROGRAM (AMT)

Applied Manufacturing Technology is a work-based, customized program of study delivered to companies through the Economic Development Department. The program is designed to assist Georgia’s companies in maintaining a trained workforce and to provide educational opportunities for currently employed workers who are interested in upward mobility and cross training. A major component of the program is the awarding of academic credit for successful, related work experiences.

Specific concentrations may be developed according to the needs of the customer. The Quality Concentration includes the following curriculum:

1. General Core: - Minimum of 30 quarter credit hours

2. Selected fundamental Occupational courses (Minimum of 25 credit hours - with 21 as follows:

  • QCT 113 Metrology
  • QCT 114 Statistical Process Control
  • QCT 115 Quality Cost Control
  • QCT 123 Quality Audit Systems
  • SCT 100 Introduction to Microcomputers

3. Specific Occupational Courses (minimum of 20 credit hours - with 15 as follows:)

  • AMF 152 Manufacturing Organizational Principles
  • AMF 154 Manufacturing Workplace Skills
  • AMF 156 Manufacturing Production Requirements
  • AMF 158 Automated Manufacturing Skills
  • AMF 160 Representative Manufacturing Skills

4. Academic credit for related work experience – 20 quarter credit hours (600 contact hours)

Courses are delivered primarily at the worksite for customer’s convenience. Students not already employed may participate in open enrollment programs and the internship option. The courses required in the Certified Manufacturing Specialist (CMS) certificate are a required component of the AMT degree.

Quarter Credit hours required to graduate: Varies according to option – 95 minimum.
