Day Camps

 

Day Camps are scheduled to start at 9:00 AM and end at 4:00 PM Monday – Thursday and 9:00 AM – Noon on Friday. Early drop-off is at 8:30 AM each day and late pick-up is at 5:00 PM Monday – Thursday.

Junior Lego Engineering Day Camp
Blairsville Campus: July 13 – July 17
Currahee Campus: July 20 – July 24
Clarkesville Campus: July 27 - 31

1st – 3rd graders (ages 5-8)
Start your elementary school camper off with the fundamentals of engineering using LEGOs! Students build and work with models to investigate fixed and movable pulleys, gears, and belt drives. With hands-on instructional activities in the morning and supervised recreational activities in the afternoon, this is sure to be a fun-filled week! Bring your lunch – snacks will be provided.

Lego Engineering I Day Camp
Blairsville Campus: July 13 – July 17
Currahee Campus: July 20 – July 24
Clarkesville Campus: July 27 - 31

4th– 6th graders (ages 9-12)
Start your young engineer off with the fundamentals of engineering using LEGOs! Students work with simple machines, structures and forces, levers, wheels, and axles, gears and gear math, ratchets and drive trains, and motorized systems! With supervised recreational activities in the morning and hands-on instructional activities in the afternoon, this is sure to be a fun-filled week! Bring your lunch – snacks will be provided.

Flash/Web Design Day Camp
Clarkesville Campus
June 22 – June 26
$150
5th-9th graders (ages 10-15)
Kids ages 10 and up are invited to come for a week of fun and learning as they create their own website using Flash animation, ending in a “show-and-tell” for parents on Friday. Days will include both hands-on instruction as well as supervised recreational activities such as fishing and swimming. Bring your lunch - snacks will be provided.

Photography Day Camp
Clarkesville Campus
June 22 – June 26
$150
5th-9th graders (ages 10-15)
Kids ages 10 and up are invited to bring their camera for a week of fun and learning with the basics of photography and digital photographs. Along with taking pictures, campers will be able to alter them with basic photography software, ending in a “show-and-tell” for parents on Friday. Days will include both hands-on instruction as well as supervised recreational activities such as fishing and swimming. Bring your lunch - snacks will be provided.

Computer Repair Day Camp
Clarkesville Campus
June 22 – June 26
$150
5th-9th graders (ages 10-15)
Kids ages 10 and up are invited to come for a week of fun and learning as they learn how to figure out problems and how to perform basic fixes on computers, ending in a “show-and-tell” for parents on Friday. Days will include both hands-on instruction as well as supervised recreational activities such as fishing and swimming. Bring your lunch - snacks will be provided.

Please make checks payable to: North Georgia Technical College. You can also register by calling Denise at (706)754-7716 for Clarkesville camps, Leeah at 706-439-6335 for Blairsville LEGO camps, and Ashley at 706-779-8100 the Currahee Campus. Payment is due two weeks prior to the start of Camp.

Refund policy:

Pre-registered students may receive a full refund provided cancellation is received seven days before the scheduled date of summer camp. Refunds will automatically be provided if the summer camp is cancelled. All campers are expected to follow the rules of our camp program. The use of tobacco, alcoholic beverages, and /or illegal drugs is forbidden and are cause for dismissal without refund. Campers with emotional or behavioral conditions which are disruptive to the camp program, as determined by the Camp Director, will be dismissed without refund of fees.
