The purpose of the Air Conditioning Technology associate degree
program is to provide educational opportunities to individuals
that will enable them to obtain the knowledge, skills, and
attitudes necessary to succeed in a variety of positions as
technicians in the heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration
fields. Program graduates are to be competent in the general
areas of social or behavioral sciences, natural sciences,
mathematics, introduction to computers, refrigeration fundamentals,
electrical fundamentals, electrical control systems, and heating
systems. The associate degree will provide an opportunity
for graduates to enter the job market at a higher salary and
to advance quickly into a management related position.
